.Bracelet Table Lamp in Gilded Iron with Linen Shade
…………………………
This week all design eyes turn toward North Carolina and the annual High Point Market. In advance of his leaving for the event, I caught up with Barry Goralnick for coffee in the Flatiron district in in New York, to learn about his latest collection for Circa Lighting.
While all of his designs are beautiful, there are 6 that I think are real standouts, including the Bracelet Table Lamp shown above…..

After a spirited conversation about the best design books out this season, and sharing some thoughts about the nearly completed Freedom Tower in Tribeca, I asked Barry to tell me about his latest lighting collection, and about why he chose Circa Lighting to manufacture his designs. Here’s what he had to say;
.
“This is my 4th season creating product for Circa Lighting, which is both the on-line and brick and mortar retail provider for Visual Comfort.
When I was looking for a company to manufacture and market my lighting designs, they were the only people I approached. All Goralnick Architecture and Design jobs use either vintage lighting or lighting from Visual Comfor t. They have the best designs, the best offerings in many categories, and the best quality at a variety of price, many of which are substantially lower than vintage pieces.
I recently completed a project where I used a vintage overhead light that cost $10,000 in the same vignette with a pair of GORALNICK Visual Comfort sconces that are $295 each. and it all mixes together beautifully.”
