For my review of this weeks Mens Spring/Summer 2014 shows in London I choose a different angle – instead of good or bad reviews I decided to select my personal favorite 20 looks, pieces that I feel are the most wearable clothes for the modern well dressed man.
The colors are jewel tones, brights and black. The fit is easy, classy and tailored – from the street to the office to dinner. These are the looks I predict will be the must-haves for Spring of next year.
Reviewing the London collections has always been a treat for me. Back in my days as a buyer I could not wait to go to London for fashion week.
The British designers excel in innovative design – and creating new wearable art, and are always at the forefront of new directions in fashion.
For this posting I focus on what I think are the top six collections shown this past week: WEARABLE garments that sparks conversation, not for being ridiculous, but because the clothes are totally original and beautifully crafted.
Last week London Fashion Week kicked off the Fall 2013 men’s collections with a bang. I have always loved the British street style, as well as the ultra classic styling of a tailored made suit from one of London’s famed Savile Row ateliers. The collections, as a rule, did not disappoint.
I’ve picked 4 top designers to highlight, and give you here a brief review of what I think you will see hanging in the top designer shops around the globe, as well as featured in the best men’s fashion magazines.
The trends were varied, from ‘Napal Chic’ to ‘Gangster Stripes’. There were lots of effortless dressing options from easy fitted waist jackets and overcoats to colors ranging from creme to bright sunset orange.
